The crowd slowly fills up the performance venue as the Sells-Floto band begins their performance. A young woman on the right side of the stage plays bass drum, her face turned towards the camera, while an elderly man who is dressed in a traditional Scottish kilt plays the bagpipes. As the musicians put on a lively show, a crowd of young boys wander over towards the stage to admire the music. Closest to the stage, however, there is also an older gentleman who has his left arm propped against the stage as he intensely watches the performance. To his left, a man is monitoring a booth reading "Side Show Museum 25 cents". In the background parallel to the young boys, a big top tent is positioned as the entrance to the main show of the circus.
