There's a lot to love and examine in this particular shot. I love the tight framing and the fact that it's a grown woman, and not the children, who are sitting on someone's lap. I'm also interested in the little girl in the background, whose hat and blurry face really catch the eye. There's something jarring about the discrepancies in scale and how this child seems to float eerily in the background. This image comes to us from the collection of Fred Bodin, a professional photographer and avid collector who was active in New England until his death in 2016.
