I enjoy this snapshot because of its intense contrast: the bright white shirt, the dark shadows over each boy's face. I like that in this moment of levity, it's difficult to discern what's on each child's face. This image comes to us from the Fred Bodin collection. Fred was an avid collector and a professional photographer himself. He worked for "Yankee Magazine," a prominent New England publication. Over the course of his life, Fred collected photographic prints and negatives from various photographers around New England, and after his death in 2016, HIP purchased the bulk of Mr. Bodin's collection. We're excited to share the best of it with you.
