The View from Goat Island

Fred Bodin

$24.99

Snapped in 1905, this is the view of Horshoe Falls from Goat Island, which is the oldest state park in the nation. Horseshoe Falls is the largest of the three waterfalls that make up the Niagra Falls. This particular negative was found in the collection of Mr. Fred Bodin, a prolific photographer and collector who was active in the New England area. After Mr. Bodin's death, HIP was fortunate enough to purchase his archives, which include thousands of images, many of which were taken by his grandmother, Alice Curtis. We're not exactly sure who took this particular shot, but it may have been taken by Ms. Curtis.
