Bored and Beautiful

Fred Bodin

$24.99

I won't lie to you: This photograph isn't perfect. It's a little overexposed, which is why the white dresses are too bright for us to see any disernible textures or patterns. It's also a little bit underexposed, since the faces of the men in the back row are a little too dark to see. In spite of these imperfections, I just had to include this photograph. Why, you may ask? The young lady on the far left. I love that look of utter boredom on her face and I especially love that borderline flamboyant pattern on her dress. This moment of stylish, youthful boredom is brought to us by Mr. Fred Bodin. Although Fred was a photographer himself, he was also an avid collector and he acquired the work of many New England photographers. For that reason, we aren't exactly sure who took this photograph, but we're grateful for it anyway. Let's hope that all of us can manage to look so lovely while reluctantly posing for our family photographs.
