A large group poses outside the Bear Hill Golf Club, which was established in 1900 in Stoneham, Massachusetts. This particular negative was found in the collection of Mr. Fred Bodin, a prolific photographer and collector who was active in the New England area. After Mr. Bodin's death, HIP was fortunate enough to purchase his archives, which include thousands of images, many of which were taken by his grandmother, Alice Curtis. We're not exactly sure who took this particular photograph. Since this image dates back to the early 1900s, it may have been taken by Ms. Curtis.
