If anything, the uniformity of their attire only enhaces all the nuanced distinctions in their facial expressions. I'm especially interested in the woman who kneels in the middle of the frame, elevating herself above the other seated women and making her own face the center of the composition. I'm also curious about how these women interact with each other, how they rest arms on each other's shoulders and lean into one another, like an intimate club that we spectators just aren't cool enough to join.
